Song Garden Studios professional recording studio is just that. Professional. We extend an invitation to all producers, engineers, musicians and writers to come and see for yourselves our effecient, productive and comfortable studio environment.

We believe strongly in networking with other studios, engineers and producers in the Jakarta Area. Song Garden offers a full range of services. From song concept to finished packaged product, our staff and business associates will work together to make your music the very best that it can be.

Producers/Arrangers/Musicians
Song Garden can provide a producer, arranger and/or studio musicians on request. Fees vary depending on depth of involvement and extent of arrangement. We can also quote a project or per song price for a complete package. Call to discuss your needs.

Song Garden Studio may be booked by the hour or by 8 or 10 hour block. This rate applies to all projects including tracking, mixing, copying, editing, & Mastering. The Studio Rate includes setup, microphones, all digital and analog processing as required, digital audio workstation, mixing, mastering, copying, PQ coding (mastering), time sheet printout, time and charges documentation.

Materials not included in the studio rate are:
CDRs
Tape
Catering
Overnight Accomodation
Special Equipment Rentals, etc.

STUDIO RATES

Hourly rate: $55.00 per hour ($65.00/hr standard rate)
Block rate:   $495.00 per 10 hr. Block. (50% deposit required)
                    $396.00 per 8 hr. Block. (50% deposit required)

Block rate hours must be used in the same day booked.
Additional hours will be billed at regular studio rate.

Session CDR (Taiyo Yuden):           $5.00 each
Gold Audio Master (Mitsui) CDR:     $15.00 ea
Taiyo Yuden DVD+R w/case:          $10.00 ea

Studio CD/Album Recording Packages

Package B: 13 Song CD 'flex-time' package -- $8999.00

Package 'A' includes: unlimited studio time*, producer, engineer, tracking, mixing, mastering, 200 CDR's w/inserts, artwork and shrink. Call for more information.

Package 'B' includes everything in package 'A' with the exception of scheduling. Package 'B' will be scheduled on studio 'off-time'. For example, If the studio becomes booked for 'standard rates' during the week of scheduled recording, the package 'B' session will be 'bumped' to the next available slot in the calendar pending confirmation from both the artist and producer.

Billing is in quarter-hour increments with one hour minumum per session.

CDRs, Masters and Session Copies are only released upon full payment.

All rates are based upon payment in full at time of sessions.

A deposit of 50% of the scheduled studio time is required to reserve studio for all sessions over 4 hours.

Sessions that are canceled or re-scheduled on short notice are subject to a forfeiture of deposit depending on amount of time booked and length of notice.

Minimum booking for recording, mixing, mastering or editing is one hour.

If you have rehearsed well, you should be able to record one song in about one to three hours for a demo and from one to three days for a production release. For example; If you will have a 10 song CD, plan at least 30 hours of studio time to record. This will give you a good demo or 'low budget' CD. Typically, for a production CD, it can take from 20 to 60 hours per song to record & mix. Please, do not expect to sound like the latest 'chart topper' unless you are willing the spend the same amount of time in the studio as they did. :-) By the way, we don't 'replace' drums... (if you want us to.. we can) - we know how to record them properly so you don't have to. (LOL) Our goal is to make you sound uniquely like YOU... not like everybody else with some 'out of the box' drums, guitars...etc.

MIXING:

Typically, mixing a song will take from one to three hours per song. If you bring us songs that need a lot of editing and processing, it can take as much as one day per song. This may sound like alot of time to spend on a mix... but we really care about what we do and we want you to be able to compete in the market with your music.

MASTERING:

Traditional mastering generally takes between 1/2 and 3/4 hour per song - complete (including the CDR Master). Please call us to discuss your mastering project and accepted formats.

We keep everything loaded in the computer for a couple weeks. While most clients are happy with their first mix or master, if you need any creative changes or modifications, it�s fast and easy to do. The regular studio rates apply for whatever additional changes you request, as well as cutting a revised master CD if needed. I suggest you purchase the DVD session master or bring an external hard drive. (This replaces the rolls and rolls of 2" master tapes that used to require special storage.)
