What drives us
MUSIC.... Pure & Passionate; the music is what drives us. We are always looking to make it sound better, clearer, more detailed. We are on a mission to give our clients 'the Edge' when it comes to putting their music in front of the public. It takes a well designed acoustic space as well as a good engineer to accomplish this. Many of the 'studios' in the Detroit area are not really studios. Most are just rooms with studio-type equipment -- and it takes A LOT more than equipment to make a good studio.
Song Garden Studios is not a demo studio. We make Major-label quality records (CDs). We will gladly do your song demo, but be warned... It won't SOUND like a demo. :)
With the proliferation of the 'home studio' many people new to the industry think that they can get a 'good' recording in a 'home studio.' The price is certainly 'right'. But, what most do not realize until it's too late is the fact; "Twenty thousand dollars worth of Snap-On tools does not make you a Professional Deisel Mechanic." (Have a look at my new book!) The tools are great. The technology is fantastic! But, there really is something to be said about 'paying your dues' when it comes to being a good engineer or running a recording studio. JH Brandt has actually worked with some of the best engineers, producers and artists in the music industry.
Everything at Song Garden Studios has been custom built for the studio. From ceiling to floor, the room acoustics in each room was specifically designed for that room. Special electrical wiring and individual heating and cooling for each room was custom designed and installed. The rooms are a pleasure to perform in and the sound is inspirational.
Here
are a few names we have worked with: Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Byron
Gallimore (Producer for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill), Eddie Kramer (Engineer/Producer for: Jimmy Hendrix, Led
Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Peter Frampton...), Paul Simon, Mark O'Connor (of the New
Nashville Cats...), Rodney Dillard (of The Dillards from the Andy Griffith Show), Gene Breeden (Engineer/Producer for: Merle
Haggard, Garth Brooks, George Jones, Al Brumley Jr., Crystal Gayle,
Jeannie Sealy, Tommy Overstreet...), not to mention the many great local acts and bands, Pillar Of Autumn, Thin Red Line, Hi Voltage, Claudius, Alley Life... There are many more, but we
don't want to bore you... We would simply be honored to give you the same
quality and attention that all these people have recieved.
